At Mission Animal Hospital, we are your partner in the lifetime healthcare of your pet.  We take this responsibility very seriously, and will help you however we can.  Check out our FIVE STAR YELP REVIEWS and you’ll see!!  However, our helping pets doesn’t end there. One of our core values is GIVING BACK to the world we share with you, and here’s how we do it–

About 18 months ago, we as a clinic set a goal of donating ONE PERCENT of our gross income to charitable causes across the country– but we failed.  By the time 2017 ended, we actually gave just over 2% of our total income to the folks who need help most, ranging from Make A Wish to the SLO Women’s Center, from global warming to the California Marine Mammal Center.  These donations occurred without any external fundraising or donations–  and we’re not done yet!!  If you know a charity that needs our help, please let Emily know, and let’s get cracking!!

For over three years, Mission Animal Hospital veterinarians have been giving back by visiting area nursing homes and assisted living facilities once a week, bringing veterinary care to any resident that has a pet.  This veterinary care varies from vaccines and nail trims to diagnostics, dental cleaning and surgery….and is completely FREE.  This program has been recognized by both area legislators and the California assembly… but at the end of the day we are simply honored to help take care of those who took care of us… and their pets.

On Veterans’ Day, Mission Animal Hospital independently sponsored 100% of the costs for ANY adoptions at Woods Humane Society for ANY veteran or active military member.  This gave 15 veterans and 15 unwanted pets a new life together.

Mission Animal Hospital is also giving back with a charity fund for those pets whose owners simply cannot afford veterinary care.  We call it the Tender Heart fund, and it is funded entirely by client and employee donations.   This fund has  quite literally saved the lives of several pets and improved the comfort of countless others.  If you are in need or are interested in donating to our Tender Heart Fund, please talk with Emily in our office.

Each year, we at Mission Animal Hospital host a Senior Pet Health Expo, where we examine and run full diagnostic panels– radiographs, bloodwork, and urinalysis– on pets over 10 years of age…. at no charge to their owners.  Because we care.

Every Christmas, we at Mission Animal Hospital host a food drive.  Not for needy humans, but instead for their hungry pets.  Hunger, you see, knows no limits…and we don’t want area pets suffering– no matter who they belong to.   We will soon be expanding our pet food bank services year around.

These programs are just one of the reasons Mission Animal Hospital has become the veterinary clinic of the Central Coast.  When we say we’ll partner with you, we mean it.

We’re Mission Animal Hospital.  Loved Pets Healed Here.
